Best Behaved Dogs

Tim, a 6 month old Golden Retriever, loves to chase birds. Here he is using every ounce of self control to go into a down when I tell him to and to stay there until released while watching the birds hopping around in front of him. Some workers at the cafe on our right were so happy to see him succeed that they started cheering. You can't see them but you will probably hear them. We are on the waterfront near the Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria.

Tim, a 6 month old Golden Retriever in Founders Park, Old Town, Alexandria, doing a wonderful recall. When I call him he immediately starts toward me without me having to use his leash to reel him in. Tim comes toward me with lots of happy enthusiasm and stays with me while I congratulate him. Once I tell him it's okay, he goes off to explore the park some more.

Here's Tim, a 6 month old Golden Retriever, getting an A plus for his down stay. We were in Founder's Park in Old Town, Alexandria, cooling off with a down stay in the shade. Another person was walking her dog by when her dog broke from heel position to dash behind her back to say hi to Tim. Tim ignored the other dog and maintained his stay. Such an amazingly good boy!

Tim is a 6 month old Golden Retriever and he loves to say hi to other dogs and people. He sees the dogs and people walking toward us but he does an excellent job of remembering his training and staying in heel position next to me. The other dogs' owner noticed Tim's good behavior and said "nice dog," as she walked by the camera. Everyone appreciates a well trained dog!
